The vital pontoon bridge at Mahuli Ghat over the ganges, a lifeline connecting Bihar's Bhojpur district to Uttar Pradesh was damaged by fierce winds and heavy rain on Thursday, disrupting the lives of thousands of local residents. Locals who rely on the bridge for their daily commute are now forced to use overcrowded boats.
