To carry on the popularity of my Bender robot — which I perfected by combining aluminum wire with a flexi structure — I’ve now designed the Planet Express headquarters, the iconic setting from Futurama.

As always, I’ve added several features to make this the best possible design. Here are a few highlights:

You can place an LED candle inside to use it as a light.
The hangar roof can be opened and closed.
The hangar can store small items, such as Bender’s spare eyes or mouth parts.

Overall, the assembly is very easy, but there are a few precautions to keep in mind, so please make sure to check them.

When assembling the railing part (filename Dome_Darkgray-B_PLANETEXPRESS) by curling it around, I recommend starting from the arrow mark on the base of the disc-shaped part (filename Dome_Darkgray-A). It’s difficult to curl and attach the entire piece at once, so first secure the starting point firmly, then apply glue to the disc little by little while bending and attaching the railing gradually. If this feels too challenging, you can raise the temperature of your 3D printer’s build plate, place the railing part (filename Dome_Darkgray-B_PLANETEXPRESS) on it to warm it up, and pre-bend it slightly. This will make it easier to curl and attach.
When assembling the completed Dome part and Tower part, make sure that when the Tower door is facing the front, the arrow mark on the bottom of the disc-shaped Dome_Darkgray-A part is pointing to the left. This way, it will look the same as it does in the cartoon.
The parts Detail-parts_Panel and Detail-parts_Vent can be produced in two ways: either by printing them with a multi-color 3D printer, or by printing them separately by color and assembling them afterwards. Please choose the method that best suits the 3D printer you own.
