In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, the Intelligence Bureau Division and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have arrested four members of the TTP/Fitna al-Khawarij terrorist network involved in the suicide attack at the Judicial Complex G-11, Islamabad.
During interrogation, the key handler Sajidullah alias Sheena confessed that Afghanistan-based TTP/FAK commander Saeed-ur-Rehman alias Daadullah had coordinated the attack using Telegram. The suicide bomber Usman alias Qari, a resident of Achin, Nangarhar (Afghanistan), was brought into Pakistan, sheltered near Islamabad, and equipped with a suicide jacket retrieved from Akhun Baba graveyard in Peshawar.
Pakistan’s security agencies successfully dismantled the entire cell, arresting the operational commander and three other members. Further investigations are underway, with more arrests expected.
