Today is the eighth day of the winter session of Parliament. Parliament is having an extensive discussion on the completion of 150 years of the national song 'Vande Mataram'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the discussion in the Lok Sabha on the historical significance of this song. PM Modi delivered his statement on the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram' and talked about several historical figures, from Nehru to Jinnah. The opposition MPs participating in the discussion asked sharp questions to the government.

आज संसद के शीतकालीन सत्र का आठवां दिन है। राष्ट्रगीत वंदे मातरम के 150 वर्ष पूरे होने पर संसद में विस्तार से चर्चा हो रही है। इस गीत के ऐतिहासिक महत्व पर लोकसभा में होने वाली चर्चा की शुरुआत प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने की। पीएम मोदी ने वंदे मातरम के 150 साल पूरे होने पर अपना वक्तव्य रखा और नेहरू, जिन्ना से लेकर कई ऐतिहासिक किरदारों पर बात की। चर्चा में भाग लेने वाले विपक्षी खेमे के सांसदों ने सरकार से तीखे सवाल पूछे
