Rotten roof removal = solar panel upheaval

Imagine paying thousands for a roof refurb in 2013 only to find it’s buggered again ten-years later! Well, imagine no more my friends, because here I’m the sucker forkin’ well forking out for all new bling to keep the rain off the junk and VHS porn I store in my attic. The only trouble with this re-roof is that some idiot stuck solar panels on the bloody thing back in 2014!

The roofing work seen here was a year ago in the wet summer of 2024 (unlike the scorcher that has been 2025). I sat on publishing this turd because it shows some iffy working at height practices which I’ll admit are not big, hard or clever, but to hell with it - it’s a DIY de-panelling and re-panelling conducted on my own time and at my own risk on my own property. When it comes to working on my own home, I’m going to approach it in a way I’m not uncomfortable with and I’ll accept the consequences of my actions. So, sod off with your pithy comments you fackin’ Facebook KEYBOARD HEROES.

Also, I apologise for the audio drop-out on the coffee shouts which I recorded in June ’25 at Stonehenge. I didn’t have my camera and mic, so it was all on the mobile phone, which is normally passable, however perhaps not so when on the top of a hill in the middle of nowhere surrounded by bloody Germans. Similarly, I also lost the little woolly hat for my microphone so there was a lot of wind noise when atop the roof in some scenes.
