This Guitar is a One of a kind custom build. But I will probably make more in the future because it came out amazing. It is easy to play and can crank out some really cool sounds.
It started out as an all birch harmony made vintage stella parlor guitar, but it has been taken apart and thoroughly modified.
The ladder bracing has been shifted to accommodate the mini humbucker in the right position. I added a big popsickle brace and some soundhole braces.
A maple plate was added to support the humbucker. A thick maple bridge plate was added under the saddle area to support the tune-o-matic bridge. And a thick 1.5 inch block has been glued and screwed in around the end block and interlocking over and around the last ladder brace.
This big block not only creates a solid area to mount the tremolo tail piece, but also adds mass and structure which solidifies the feel and takes the tone to a new and exciting place. It no longer feels or sounds like just a little acoustic with a pickup in it. it is a whole new animal. It is a beast.
It also had its neck reset, lots of fret work, tuners reconditioned, intonation adjusted, electric strings installed.
It shows lots of age and honest wear in the finish attesting to the age and history of this rebuild. I took the liberty of removing a little of the labeling on the headstock. I think its a little cooler now that it just says "Stella" and "made in the usa."
