An investigation by the Mirror has found that virtually no dentists in England are taking new NHS patients.
This is despite the fact that a £200m rescue package announced in February was meant to open up more appointments.
The then-Conservative government planned to bring in mobile dental vans and offered dentists a financial incentive to relocate to underserved areas. Neither of these goals are being met.
