Today we review and drive a 1964 Volvo Amazon 122 Estate wagon, which had been sitting since the 1980's until my friend Carson discovered and purchased it to fix it up as a gift for his mother.

"The Volvo 122 Station Wagon is a rear wheel drive motor vehicle, with the engine located in the front, and a 5 door estate/station wagon bodyshell. It forms part of Volvo's Amazon series. The Volvo 122 Station Wagon's engine is a naturally aspirated petrol, 1.8 litre, overhead valve 4 cylinder with 2 valves per cylinder. This powerplant develops 89 bhp (90 PS/66 kW) of power at 5000 rpm, and maximum torque of 142 N·m (105 lb·ft/14.5 kgm) at 3200 rpm. The engine supplies its power through to the wheels via a 4 speed manual transmission. The Volvo 122 Station Wagon is claimed to achieve a maximum speed of 160 km/h (99 mph)."
