Brighter Futures BBQ | The Pit Room Partners with Communities In Schools | Houston Foodies

Foodies & Friends host Katie Stone visits The Pit Room Memorial City for a special collaboration with Communities In Schools of Houston (CIS). She is joined by David Sambrooks, owner of The Pit Room and CIS board member, along with Jen Moss and Jen Espey, co-chairs of the CIS Brighter Futures BBQ Fundraiser.

Communities In Schools of Houston, in partnership with The Pit Room, presents the Brighter Futures BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, November 8, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Pit Room Memorial City. Guests can enjoy barbecue, drinks, live music, and a silent auction, all benefiting Communities In Schools of Houston, an educational nonprofit supporting local students.

In addition to the event today at the Memorial location, all food and beverage proceeds at the Montrose location , including to-go orders will be donated to Communities In Schools of Houston in support of the fundraiser. Houstonians can dine for a cause at either Pit Room location for breakfast, lunch, or dinner that day.

🌮Taco Trio: Chicken Verde, Pulled Pork, and Chopped Brisket served with Elote and Jambalaya

🥩 T-Bone with a Loaded Baked Potato (Memorial Bar Menu)

🍖 Two Meat BBQ Plate with Brisket, Pork Ribs, Jalapeño Cornbread, and House Mac and Cheese

🍗 Chicken Tenders (Memorial Bar Menu)

🍽️ Sausage Sampler: Jalapeño Cheddar, Pork, Venison, and Beef Sausages served with Loaded Frito Pie, Green Beans, and Potato Salad

💡 Nice to know
The Pit Room now offers take-home seasonings and sauces, including Meat Salt, BBQ Sauce, and Mustard Sauce. Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the perfect time to enjoy your favorite smoked meats and drinks.
