Webinar – Voices of Epilepsy Surgery

The Voices of Epilepsy Surgery webinar, held on November 6, 2025, was led by renowned Neurologists and Neurosurgeons from the Mount Sinai Health System, Madeline Fields, MD, Epilepsy Doctor; Saadi Ghatan, MD, Epilepsy Neurosurgeon; Lara Marcuse, MD, Epilepsy Doctor; and Fedor Panov, MD, Epilepsy Neurosurgeon.

The webinar aimed to educate people with epilepsy on surgical options available to them at the Mount Sinai Epilepsy Center. Our speakers engaged in meaningful and empowering conversations with four people who each underwent a different type of epilepsy surgery, who discussed their experiences before, during, and after treatment.

Attendees learned about multi-specialist epilepsy care, evidence-based strategies to reduce seizures, real-life epilepsy surgery experiences, and both medical and personal perspective on the decision-making process and experiences with epilepsy surgery. They also had the opportunity to interact with the panel during a live Q&A session.
