Today, we ventured just outside the city to Medvednica Nature Park. We hiked trail 12 (but also accidentally parts of a bunch of other trails) that takes you from the very bottom of the park to the highest peak on the mountain. It was a much needed change-up to the city hopping we've been making our routine recently.
The medieval fortress "Medvedgrad" was actually really cool and definitely a nice stop along the way to the top. A 6-7 mile hike doesn't seem like a lot, but our need for speed combined with not having done steep hikes in a while opened our eyes to our need for more strenuous exercise, haha.
