A little video about the range of gain that this legendary amp can get.
Recorded with:
Guitar with low output pickups: the Gibson Burtbuckers 1 (neck) and 2 (bridge) straight to the amp. The speakers are not the originals Peavey Shefield; they are Celestion's G12t 75; and I just used a subtil high pass and low pass filters in eq. and limiting to avoid clipping.
Even though it is a low gain guitar, the amp can push it very well
