Map Turtles have some wonderful patterns and are quite active, so it’s little wonder that many turtle keepers want to give them a home.
As a slightly larger and more communal species, one thing to consider before taking on a Map Turtle is whether you have enough space to be able to give them the home environment they require.
Andy Ferguson, Herpetologist at The National Turtle Sanctuary, introduces us to one of the resident Map Turtles, and explains more about the care they require.
