TRIMMING THE BAREFOOT!

Foot mapping is a process in which highlights the location of the internal anatomical structures using external references points. We use the location of these structures in order to trim the hoof to allow it to function correctly.
When barefoot trimming we take a very conservative approach and try to maintain as much strength to the hoof capsule as possible in order to allow it to function to it's natural ability. We also try to encourage the foot or stimulate the hoof, to grow and wear in a way as which to maintain its own strength, quality and function. In this video I try to demonstrate how to use the foot mapping technique to best trim the foot around those anatomical structures.
