For opera lovers, the Bayreuther Festspielhaus is an absolute must. Every year, the famous Bayreuth Festival takes place here, where Wagner's operas are performed. And if you long for some peace, you should definitely make a detour to the Eremitage park on the eastern outskirts of the city. There you will find the Old Palace with its museum and the beautiful sun temple, dedicated to the god Apollo.
