The Holiday is a Christmas Classic and you don't even know it, and yes, I will fight you on this. It's shaped common knowledge more than you realise AND is still incredibly relevant today! From the issues of falling for the "idea" of someone, to "nice guys" to the many ridiculous pressures on women to gumption and so much more. Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, and Jude Law made what could have been a cringey, terrible Hallmark movie into something people return to every year, and for good reason. Plus the score is by Hans Zimmer, what more could you want?
