鹿角市の文化財『花輪南館の時鐘』"The Time Bell of Hanawa southwing" The cultural asset of kazuno city,Akita pref.

この時鐘(釣鐘)は、長年寺の梵鐘として享保4年(1719)に歌代六左衛門清房によって鋳造されたものである。鋳造にあたって、炉を長年寺境内に設け、鋳型に注ぎ込むときに町内の善男善女が多数集まり、金の簪、指環などを喜捨したため、この鐘は特に良く鳴り響くと伝えられている。
明治6年(1873)太陽暦採用により、当時の戸長大里寿は町民に時を告げるため、南館に鐘楼を設け、長年寺の釣鐘をここに移して、住吉神社別当黒澤嘉門に時鐘を打たせた。
戦時中の金属供出によって供出されたが、終戦後、大館の倉庫内で発見され、再び南館の時鐘として時を知らせていたが、平成9年10月4日、長年寺の整備事業に合わせて寺に戻し、現在に至っている。

This bell was cast by Ayashiro Rokuzaemon Kiyofusa in 1719 as the temple bell of Chonen-ji Temple. It is said that the bell rang particularly well because many good people gathered in the town and gave away gold and silver ornaments, rings, etc. when the bell was poured into the mold. In 1873, when the head of the household at that time, Hisashi Osato, built a bell tower in the Minamidate(Southwing of Hanawa area) to tell the time to the townpeople. After the war, the bell was found in a warehouse in Odate city and was used as the time bell of Minamidate again, but on October 4, 1997, it was returned to the temple in conjunction with the maintenance project of Chonen-ji Temple.

這次的鐘（掛鐘）是歌代六左衛門清房於 1719 年作為寺鐘鑄造。據說，這鐘響得特別響，是因為寺院內設爐，澆鑄時，鎮上許多善男信女聚集捐獻金簪、金戒指。
1873年，隨著陽曆的採用，大里寿東永在南樓建造了一座鐘樓，向市民報時。 .
戰時作為金屬捐贈的一部分被捐贈，但戰後在大館的倉庫中被發現，回到寺院繼續使用至今。
