Free-roam session of City Car Driving in virtual reality. Using an Oculus Quest 2 (Air Link) and Logitech G920 force-feedback wheel. Overall, this game is a great way to practice real-world driving!
After making this video, it's come to my attention that my wheel settings weren't ideal. In the video, you can see the wheel automatically return to the center position, at all times, including when the car isn't moving. This isn't natural behavior (wheel shouldn't move at all when the car is idle, and should very subtly try to return to center after turns). These non-ideal settings may also explain general wheel stiffness.
I didn't test if this could be changed from the G920 nor did I test if FFB was working properly at all (no longer have access to the G920), but I can confirm with a G29 (the PlayStation equivalent of the G920) that this can be changed by being sure to use the latest Logitech G HUB software (not older Gaming Software/LGS), and in CCD's in-game settings, make sure the wheel is selected for Force Feedback, that force feedback is enabled, and as a recommendation, make the feedback strength about 10 clicks back from max (maybe around 80%).
With proper FFB settings, the wheel should not return to center unnaturally, and force feedback should be felt when running over curbs or losing traction.
