I'm on a mission to journey entirely by human-power from the lowest point in Africa to the highest: Lac Assal, Djibouti (-160m), to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania (5895m). In episode one, after arriving in Djibouti, I set out from Lac Assal in blistering heat reaching 45°C (113°F). It was brutal!
