Bhopal Metro Update May 2025|Bhopal Metro Update Today|Bhopal Metro Stations Latest Update


The Bhopal Metro is expected to be operational by mid-2025, with commercial operations planned for July 2025.

Operational Stretch: The initial stretch from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS Bhopal, covering 7 km with 8 stations, is expected to be operational by July 2025.
Trial Runs: Trial runs between the depot and AIIMS Bhopal are expected to begin soon, with extensive trial runs planned on the 7 km stretch.
Project Progress: The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has completed critical construction and system integration milestones, including the Habibganj rail overbridge.
Total Length: The first phase of the metro project spans 31 km, with two lines: Orange Line (AIIMS to Karond) and Blue Line (Ratnagiri to Bhadbhada).
Number of Trains: 27 trains have been ordered for the first phase of the project.

The MPMRCL is optimistic about meeting the mid-2025 deadline, with Managing Director S Krishna Chaitanya stating that civil and systems integration work is on track.

Total Stations: Bhopal Metro Phase 1 consists of 2 lines and 28 stations, with construction work ongoing at some stations.
Orange Line (Line 2): This line has 16 stations, with work currently underway on the 6.225 km stretch between AIIMS and Subhash Nagar.

Ready Stations: None of the stations are fully ready yet, but construction work is progressing rapidly at some stations. The goal is to operationalize the 7 km stretch from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar by July 2025.
