Elio Hernández Rojas, professionally known as Elio Rojas, is a distinguished Cuban pianist, composer, and arranger celebrated for his masterful fusion of classical technique with the rich rhythms of Afro-Cuban jazz. With a dynamic and international career, he has captivated audiences worldwide through his original compositions, charismatic stage presence, and deeply expressive performances.

A First-Class Honours graduate of the prestigious University of the Arts in Havana, Elio began his international journey after relocating to Spain, where he expanded his artistic presence across Europe before establishing his base in London under the UK’s Global Talent Visa, endorsed by Arts Council England.

He made his international debut at the Teatro Principal de Alicante, presenting his own music and ensemble. Since then, he has performed alongside renowned artists such as Sarah Willis and has appeared at world-class venues including Elbphilharmonie Hamburg (Elbphilharmonie Sommer Festival), Konzerthaus Berlin (Young Euro Classic), Kurhaus Wiesbaden (Rheingau Musik Festival), and Kongress-Palast Kassel (Kultursommer Nordhessen).

As a headliner, Elio has brought his music to global audiences aboard leading cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Azamara Cruises, Silversea, Saga Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, P&O Cruises, and Cunard, performing both solo piano concerts and full orchestral shows.

Now based in London, Elio is a prominent figure in the UK jazz scene. With his trio, he has performed to sold-out audiences at renowned venues such as PizzaExpress Live Soho, 606 Club, Peggy’s Skylight, Electric Theatre Guildford, Alfie’s Jazz Club Soho, Hampstead Jazz Club, Bonington Theatre (for Nottingham Jazz Steps), Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zédel, and Arthur’s Blues & Jazz Club in Dublin.

Blending Latin jazz, Afro-Cuban heritage, and European classical elegance, Elio’s performances are defined by refined technique, fluid improvisation, and a captivating presence on stage. Each concert becomes an intimate and sophisticated musical journey that leaves a lasting impression on every listener.
