Welcome back to Improvisational Concepts! 🎸
The challenge in today’s video was to stick strictly to the minor pentatonic scale – not a single note outside of it.
It may sound easy, but I really had to concentrate to keep it pure pentatonic all the way through… haha!
This video is especially for beginners to intermediate players, to show how much you can do with the No.1 scale you probably already know.
With just five notes, you can still create phrasing, dynamics, and an expressive solo without needing advanced theory.
