16-year-old Felix Auger Aliassime faces a 17-year old Denis Shapovalov in their first ever meeting on the professional tour (Drummondville 2017 challenger semifinal). Canadian tennis's future looks bright with Felix, Denis and Bianca Andreescu on the women's side.
Felix Auger Aliassime especially has broken few records already - became the youngest to qualify for a challenger event at the age of 14, and the youngest to reach an ATP500 Final (in Rio De Janeiro, lost to Laslo Djere). He also became the 7th youngest player to win a challenger title in 2016 (right inbetween Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic) plus, he won another one in the following week.
In 2019 Felix is already performing on a very high level every week now, he just reached the Miami Open semifinal losing a close match to John Isner. Amazingly Felix Auger Aliassime started his career directly on the challenger tour and won his first 7 matches!
