Artist Creates Intricate Etch A Sketch Drawings That Never Erase

Jane Labowitch, aka Princess Etch, is a full-time Etch A Sketch artist. She has recreated pop culture icons, classical paintings, and landscapes as Etch A Sketch drawings. She walks us through the process of her creating an Etch A Sketch drawing from beginning to end. To start, she typically works with a 1:1 scale reference photo of the image that she is going to recreate, maps out the line work and adds shading. After she sketches the piece on the Etch A Sketch, she goes through a unique process to preserve her work by sawing the Etch A Sketch apart, cleaning out the back, and resealing it.
