The mysterious king of jbeil/Gb’El Abi-Chemou(n) and his megalithic tomb recorded 11m under the Phoenician soil of the most ancient city in Phoenicia, and one the most ancient worldwide.
The Bible mentioned these Amorite kings as the giant Rephaim who were exterminated, but obviously their genetic traces still survive in the Middle East, as the recent studies have shown .
A real mystery to be added to the list of mysterious uncovered in Lebanon.
This site was uncovered by the Renan mission to Phoenicia in the mid 1800s, since then few serious digs have been performed.
