"Should I Leave My Husband?"

This is such a tough question and a difficult decision to make. Let's carefully check our own motives before considering a separation or a divorce. This is a really big decision with potentially destructive consequences for ourselves, our husbands, our marriages, and our children. I don't want to see women rush into a big mistake.

There are times when separation is necessary, unfortunately. But there are also times when God desires wives to stay. I don't have the answers about what every wife should do in every situation - but God does. He has the wisdom we need as we fully submit ourselves to Him as Lord and seek to honor and obey Him.

If a spouse and/or the children are truly in danger, for example, that may be a time when separation may be necessary and it may be necessary to involve the authorities. If unrepentant adultery is going on, or one spouse is not in his/her right mind due to active drug/alcohol addictions, uncontrolled mental health issues, etc... there are times when a spouse may need to try to get help for the other. If the spouse who needs help refuses help, there may be times separation could be necessary for the safety/sanity of the other spouse and children.
