Bud Anderson, beloved World War II fighter ace and postwar test pilot, received the honorary promotion to brigadier general on Dec. 2, 2022. His well-wishers in attendance reflect the esteem and affection in which he is held. The ceremony was conducted at the Aerospace Museum of California on the former McClellan Air Force Base near Sacramento.
