Today, January 10th, just a year earlier, in 2024, American actress and model Tisa Farrow died at the age of 72. The cause of death was most likely atherosclerosis—a buildup of plaque in the arteries. She was born on July 22, 1951, in Los Angeles to Irish-born actress Maureen O'Sullivan and Australian-born film director John Farrow. She dropped out of school, worked as a waitress, and then began appearing in commercials. Farrow's first film role was in Homer. Farrow then starred in René Clément's And Hope to Die, the drama Some Call It Love, and the comedy God Only Knows. Farrow was pictured nearly nude in a photo shoot for the July 1973 issue of Playboy (photographed by Mario Casilli). In the second half of the 1970s, Farrow starred in the Italian-Canadian action film Strange Shadows in an Empty Room, directed by Alberto De Martino, the horror film The Initiation of Sarah, James Toback's Fingers opposite Harvey Keitel, and the Canadian film Search and Destroy. She also appeared in Woody Allen's Manhattan. She also played leading roles in three Italian genre films: Lucio Fulci's horror film Zombi 2, Antonio Margheriti's Vietnam War film The Last Hunter, and Joe D'Amato's Anthropophagus.
