The path to Choto Mahakal is more than just a trek—it's an experience of crossing the rugged Jayanti Riverbed, walking through lush tropical forests, and crossing a colorful bamboo bridge adorned with Buddhist prayer flags.

📍 Travel Guide & Tips:
How to Reach: The journey starts from Jayanti Village (approx. 30km from Alipurduar). You need to hire a local Gypsy and a forest guide.
Trek Level: Moderate. It involves walking on rocky terrain, so wear sturdy trekking shoes.
Best Time to Visit: October to April. Note: The cave and trek are closed during the monsoon (June–September) as the river levels rise.
Permits: Ensure you get your entry permits from the Rajabhatkhawa forest check post.

Water and light snacks (no shops are available at the cave).
Salt or tobacco (a must-have for leeches if trekking in early winter).
