Jimmy was the winner of the 2015 National Youth Concerto Competition (NYCC). The final was held in the Concert Hall of the Old Museum Building, Brisbane, Australia. Hosted by Queensland Youth Orchestras, NYCC is recognised as the most prestigious competition in Australia for string soloists aged up to 17 years. It was established by Queensland Youth Orchestras in 1976 to encourage the development of young Australian string players.
