Solo traveling through the Victoria High Country in a standard Isuzu D-Max

Join adventurer Dieter Pey as he explores the famous Victorian High Country of Australia!

I had the opportunity to visit Australia and just had to do a little trip while there. It has been a bucket list experience I have always wanted to do, so I made it come true! Thanks to the help from Mike and Matt I had a route set out, the new Isuzu D-Max and some camping gear to make the trip possible. This was more of an expedition adventure than full-on overlanding, but I had limited resources, knowledge and time.

It was such a great trip, I got to see a part of Australia that few people get to see and despite struggling with the not-so-pleasant weather, it was still a trip for the books.

I took this trip completely solo and it was a bit daunting, the Australian terrain is tough and unforgiving, so be cautious when attempting it. Australia is 535% bigger than South Africa with half the population of South Africa, so you quickly become very isolated.

Many South Africans love Australia and want to see it for themselves, so partly why I made this video is to show the Land Down Under through the experience of a South African.
