Nehru Zoological Park, also known as Hyderabad Zoo Park, is a sprawling 380-acre zoo in Bahadurpura, Hyderabad, established in 1959 and opened to the public in 1963. Home to over 1,500 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles, including rare species like the Indian rhino, Asiatic lion, and Bengal tiger, it’s one of India’s largest zoos. The zoo features open enclosures mimicking natural habitats, a Lion Safari, Butterfly Park, Dinosaur Park, and a Nocturnal Animal House. Located near the historic Mir Alam Tank, it attracts migratory birds and offers activities like buggy rides, boating, and educational events, making it a perfect family-friendly destination.
