Demonstration Mastkraftwagen (MastKW, selten!) THW OV Potsdam in Pirna

Es gibt bundesweit nur 5 MastKW. Diese werden für die Kommunikation ('der größeren Art^^) genutzt. Alle wurden von der Telekom übernommen.

Überblick über Führungs- und Kommunikationsgruppe(n) des THW OV Balingen.

Aufgenommen im Hauptquartier (was in Pirna war) der Einsatzkräfte beim Kirchentag, einem Berufsschulzentrum.


The mast-truck from the THW (something like a heavy technical support, their tasks are support in disaster situations were heavy technical tools/ vehicles are needed or complex situations) getting ready for use. I think that I'm the first who has filmed this. I made some photos too (you can find this vehicle in the collection):    • Photo-Slideshow: 133(+) Einsatzfahrzeuge J...   Only 5 mast-trucks existing in Germany. They are used for a fast and flexibel communication. The THW bought the mast-trucks from the telekom (phone-communication-company).

Maximal height: 145 feet
time to get ready for use: around 15 minutes

I've took the video in the headquarter of the Johanniter (St. John) and THW in Pirna at the church day(s).
