In Part 4 of Irene’s Membranous Nephropathy Journey, we share hopeful news: Irene’s 24-hour urine protein levels dropped from 27,000 mg to 16,000 mg—a significant one-third reduction. While her proteinuria remains high, this improvement led to a discussion with her nephrologist, and the postponement of the planned rituximab infusion. Could her current treatment plan—Jardiance, Lisinopril, Warfarin, Rosuvastatin, and Prednisone—finally be making an impact? Or could this be the start of a spontaneous remission, which occurs in about one-third of membranous nephropathy patients?
If you or a loved one are living with membranous nephropathy, nephrotic syndrome, or another autoimmune kidney disease, we’d love to hear your story. Sharing experiences helps others find hope, support, and understanding.
Music: Ice and Fire, King Canyon
