TOP 7 TEAMS To Play With Durin

Durin is finally about to drop in Genshin Impact, and honestly? His kit is way more flexible than I expected. Between his dual-form Skill (Support vs DPS), his off-field Pyro access, and his absolutely cracked synergy with the upcoming Hexenzirkel / Hexerei buffs, he’s shaping up to be one of the most versatile Pyro units we’ve had in years.

In this video, I’m breaking down all the teams I’ll be trying with Durin on Day 1 — from Melt Aloy, to Kinich/Emilie Burning teams, to Burnload with Clorinde, to Mona Vape teams that might actually redefine her entire playstyle. If you’re trying to figure out how good Durin really is (and which Form you should be using), this guide covers everything.

🔥 Durin’s Kit at a Glance

Skill → Skill = Purity Form (Support)
20% Pyro + Elemental RES Shred (35% in Hexerei teams)

Skill → NA = Darkness Form (DPS)
+40% Melt/Vape DMG (70% in Hexerei)

Burst changes depending on Form:
Support = AoE, DPS = Single Target, both off-field

Generates 33 Energy on cast (yes, actually)

A4 buffs team damage based on Durin’s ATK (up to +75%)

One of Rhinedottir’s creations → full Hexenzirkel synergy

Durin basically picks his role the moment you press Skill — off-field Pyro, RES shred support, or full Melt/Vape DPS. Easy.

🌙 Hexenzirkel / Hexerei Buffs Explained

Durin joins a wild lineup of characters getting the new Hexerei bonuses: Fischl, Razor, Mona, Klee, Venti, Albedo, Sucrose, and himself — with Alice/Nicole likely joining later.

With at least two Hexerei characters in your party:
Durin’s A1 gets 75% stronger
Fischl gives teamwide ATK, EM, and doubled buffs at C6
Mona’s entire kit becomes turbocharged (Omen extension, Vape buffs, EM buffs, CA multiplier stacking)
Sucrose adds stacks of hyperspecific DMG bonuses on Skill/Ult
Hexerei teams are looking absolutely unhinged.

🌋 Teams I’m Testing With Durin (Day 1)
1. Meltloy (Durin + Aloy + Sucrose + Flex)
Durin as an off-field Pyro driver while Aloy handles Cryo and Sucrose turbocharges EM + Hexerei buffs. Rotation and Melt consistency could get spicy.

2. Kinich / Emilie Burning (Durin instead of Zhongli)
Dendro + Pyro teams finally get RES Shred without sacrificing damage.
Durin’s Support Form gives:
✔ Pyro RES Shred
✔ Dendro RES Shred
✔ Off-field Pyro uptime
✔ Hexerei scaling
Pairs extremely well with Emilie and even Mualani BurnVape variations.

3. Burnload with Clorinde + Emilie
Support Form Durin gives Pyro, Electro, and Dendro RES Shred simultaneously.
You lose Chevvy’s 40% shred, but gain three shreds at once — potentially way more team DPS overall.

4. Overload With Fischl (Hexerei Buffed)
Fischl in Hexerei gives:
+22.5% ATK
+90 EM on Electro/Lunar Charged
Double buffs at C6
Will I play Fischl over Miko? Absolutely not — but she will be cracked.

5. Mona Vape (Durin Support or Durin DPS)
This patch basically turns On-Field Mona into an actual DPS:
+15% Vape DMG from her stacks
Up to +8s Omen extension
Reaction EM scaling buffs
Massive CA multipliers (+180% DMG% on C6)
Durin works with both:
✔ Vape-Mona driving with Support Durin
✔ DPS Durin riding Mona’s Omen uptime

I expect this to be one of his strongest team archetypes.

Weapons:
Wolf Fang (BP) = best 4★ option
Umbrella if you have it
Most 5★s are fine but mid — Signature is cracked, especially in Hexerei.
Artifacts:
2pc Crimson / 2pc Noblesse for now
4pc Noblesse works too
ER not needed (he generates his own energy)
New Hexenzirkel set rumored for Lunar III → don’t pre-farm too hard yet
