Thank you to everyone who joined us Tuesday for “Results, Action & Opportunities – Steve Rao and Wake County’s AI Future.”
It was an energizing evening at @mez_durham where community leaders, tech innovators, and local advocates came together to talk about what’s ahead for Wake County as artificial intelligence rapidly transforms our economy and daily lives.
With support from hosts NC House Rep. Zach Hawkins, a member of Governor Josh Stein’s AI Leadership Council, and AI pioneer Mark Hinkle, we explored:
-How AI is already shaping Wake County’s workforce, education, business community, and local government
-Opportunities to leverage AI for better public services and smarter growth
-The actions we need to take today to keep Wake County competitive, prepared, and innovative
These conversations are just the beginning. Steve remains committed to ensuring Wake County leads — not follows — when it comes to responsible, forward-looking AI strategy that supports residents, strengthens our economy, and protects our future.
