Looking for removable trailer winch mounting ideas? I walk you through the process of fabricating your own plates so that you can install a removable winch in your enclosed trailer! Having a removable winch is handy as hell because it allows you to use your expensive winch in other situations as it's not dedicated to the trailer at all times! Also by having it in a receiver winch basket, You can mount it on the back of your truck if you ever need to winch yourself or others out of a ditch. By removing the winch when you're not using, it can help with theft if someone were to break into your trailer and if you use this design on a flat deck, you can keep the winch out of the weather when you're not using it!
