Everything Went Wrong Building My Jango Fett Armor…

You won’t believe how much went wrong with this Jango Fett cosplay build, but here’s how I pulled it off and what I’d do differently next time.

In this video, I’m breaking down my entire Jango Fett cosplay armor build from rogue idea to completion. This is one of my most ambitious Star Wars builds yet, and I wanted to push my skills in 3D printing, painting, weathering, and wearable armor construction to the next level. And also maybe my skills on how fast I could work

If you’ve ever thought about building your own Mandalorian armor or diving into the world of Star Wars costuming, this video will give you a full, honest look at what it takes to go from raw 3D files to a fully finished, con-ready costume. Spoiler: it didn’t all go smoothly.


🛠️ What You'll See in This Video:

STL Sourcing: I’ll share where I got the files for the helmet, chest plates, jetpack, and gauntlets
The Build Process: From slicing the models for printing, to post-processing, sanding, gluing, and prepping for paint — I’ll walk you through the entire workflow and the tools I used.
Painting & Weathering: Jango’s armor is clean, but not too clean. I’ll show how I approached the metallic finish, blue detailing, and subtle weathering to get that signature look.
What Went Wrong: Bad prints, lots of super glue, sanding nightmares, last-minute patchjobs, this build tested my patience, and I’m sharing all of it.
What’s Next: Now that the suit is wearable, I’m planning upgrades to bring it even closer to screen-accuracy, potentially pursue Mandalorian Mercs/501st approval, and make it more con-durable for future appearances. OR we just bin it all off who knows
