In this talk, Vikesh recounts his childhood experiences of feeling silenced by his stutter, leading him to believe that fluency was "right" and stuttering was "wrong". This talk encourages the audience to embrace their uniqueness, find their voice, and speak authentically, regardless of how their words come out. Vikesh Anand is the Founder and President of STUTTA, the Australian Stuttering Association. Vikesh believes in empowering people who stutter to embrace their individual journeys. Building confidence in himself has allowed Vikesh to say what he wants to say, regardless of how the words come out. Vikesh’s passion is evident the moment he walks onto the stage, whether it's to advocate for the stuttering community or make people laugh with his stand up comedy. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
