Ryan Hemphill, the alleged “sadistic sugar daddy” had a hearing at Manhattan Criminal Court this morning. He is charged with 116 different counts of predatory sexual assault and torture, bribing a witness, and other related offenses. The allegations detail a pattern of extreme sexual violence and psychological torture against at least six women, with evidence suggesting many more victims. Hemphill, a former attorney who lost his company, allegedly lured women through websites like Seeking.com, FetLife, and Craigslist, offering money for sex and companionship while concealing his intent to inflict severe abuse.
While awaiting the Hemphill hearing, there were two hearings involving sex trafficking/ conspiracy cases. One case involved the alleged trafficking of a 14-year-old girl, and the two defendants present, who were not in custody, had already been granted bail. One of their lawyers was requesting permission for one defendant to attend night school. The other case involved a Venezuelan migrant, in the country for less than three years, accused of acting as a driver and “muscle” in a sex trafficking operation. The judge offered a bail package that included an ankle monitor, $150,000 in cash, and a $300,000 bond. His wife was also charged but was not in custody, she was present today🤯🤯🤯.
