Circumnavigation of Svalbard aboard Atlas Ocean Voyages' yacht World Voyager on 20 - 31 July 2025.
On the afternoon of July 25, 2025, after fruitless attempts to find walrus, we sailed on to Faksevågen, our next destination. On the way there we passed the bird colonies at Alkefjellet and Kapp Fanshawe. We anchored at Faksevågen and had a chance to observe the archaeological wonders around us. Early the next morning, we made a landing and hike for an even closer look at the rock formations and the retreating glacier.
