LAP OF LUXURY (Cover) - Jethro Tull

In early 2024, we decided to record one song from each Jethro Tull album, and we finally arrived at this obtuse, excessively electronic album from 1984. The 80s led several progressive bands to try a rejuvenation (as if they needed it). 'Lap of Luxury,' the opening track, talks about having enough money not to worry about mundane problems. Perhaps this was what the bands of the 70s feared. I can't say we had fun doing this cover. However, removing the electronic drums and putting in a traditional one somehow makes us imagine what an album a little less based on synthesizers would have been like. Ultimately, I think we managed to make small (very small) variations to see what would happen. I don't know what you'll think, but on my end, I can't wait to go to the next cover from the 1987 album. But anyway, it's part of the history of this unique band that is Jethro Tull! We remain Curious Ruminants!
