Located in the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh, Amarkantak is a small mountain town that is surrounded by dense forests and beautifull hills. Amarkanthak is also known as the Teerthraj .Amarkanthak is located at the meeting point of the Vindhya and Satpura mountain ranges. The holy Narmada River originates from Amarkanthak, making it a significant pilgrimage site.
Pendra Road is the nearest railway station of Amarkanthak. To reach Amarkantak from Kolkata take a train from Kolkata to the nearest railway station, Pendra Road, and then take a taxi or bus for the remaining 30 km to Amarkantak. Alternatively, you can travel by air to Jabalpur or Raipur and then take a taxi or bus to Amarkantak, though this involves a longer journey to Amarkantak.
