[BTS] Mic Drop Remix Color Guard Edition [Yuri!!! On Ice Cosplay] {SabotenCon 2018 Judge's Award}

the Mic Drop Remix year anniversary just passed, as well as the anniversary of the beginning of my Journey into becoming a hardcore Army and loving BTS forever (Nov 23) so i am finallyyyyyy uploading this.

i spent most of last summer working on this choreo and cosplay for Saboten Con 2018 Masquerade. this song (and BTS in general) along with Yuri!!! On Ice mean so much to me, i loved working on this. Yurio is my favorite character to cosplay, i always feel so comfortable and happy as him.

the cosplay is a hip-hop and mic drop/BTS inspired version of Yuri Plisetsky's Agape costume. i made it all myself from just fabric. I also made the flag.

Phil Mizuno was the judge who apparently loves Yuri on Ice and BTS, and he also liked my different version of the costume so he gave me his judge's award ajsaksvjav i was so happy. everyone cheered so loud it was amazing. when i finished the performance, and for the rest of the weekend, people kept telling me i did really well. i was so, so happy, it felt surreal but euphoric. i really love Sabo and everyone there. there really are no words, i was just so honored to be treated so kindly.

it meant even more because i actually hurt me knee really bad a week before the con. you can't really see it but i was wearing a knee brace during the performance. i lost one of the two weeks i had to practice because of that, so the performance isn't as good as i had hoped (as you can see by. me dropping it and my terrible dancing);; i had to practice in the hotel gym the night before and take it easy on some choreo for my knee kjdfnakjfn but there was no way I wasn't gonna perform. and i'm glad i did!!

i love BTS so, so much they mean everything to me. i love this song. and i love Yuri On Ice because it is also a beautiful story that has given me so much. I was so happy to combine these two things i love more than anything and see others love it as well.

i was going to edit out the beginning but i thought the intro i wrote was clever hehe (and i like the cheers...)
