Trains of Toledo - December 28 1991

A Christmas break trip to Toledo with a few stops on the way.

1. The classic Michigan Central depot at Chelsea MI.

2. A Conrail coke train backing east past the Dearborn Amtrak station.

3. A northbound GTW freight with 4 engines & a caboose crossing Dixie hwy in Monroe MI.

4. The GTW & Conrail bridges over the River Raisin at Monroe.

5. A northbound Conrail train passing Alexis tower north of Toledo.

6. A westbound Conrail at Toledo's Central Union Terminal.

7. NS engines at Homestead yard.

8. A piggyback train westbound on the Conrail at Westwood ave.

9. A eastbound GTW freight and a westbound Conrail at the depot.

10 The GTW train again at Utah st.

11. The former B&O Rossford yard.

12. Several Conrail Geep/Slug sets switching at Stanley yard.

13. A CSX engine headed north at Stanley

14. The GTW train backing into the south end of Stanley

15. A Southbound CSX freight at Vickers jct.

16. A light engine on the NS at Ironville.

17. Two NS trains at Homestead yard.

18. A Chessie engine southbound at Vickers.

19. A westbound Conrail intermodal train at Vickers.

20 A northbound CSX coal train at Vickers.

21. Amtrak #30, the eastbound Capitol Limited at the Toledo station.

22. A westbound Conrail piggyback switching at the station.

23. An eastbound Conrail stack train passing the station.

24. A Conrail switcher moving piggyback cars at the depot.

25. Amtrak #352 arriving at Toledo.

26. A westbound Conrail stops at the depot for a crew change while the switcher passes.

27. Amtrak #48, the eastbound Lake Shore arriving at the station.
