Can You Go To Medical School If You're Scared Of Blood??

I always thought that this was going to be one of those secrets that I took with me to my grave... but sharing one of my most embarrassing moments as a medical student might just be able to help some people out who are in a similar situation. Just try not to roast me too hard in the comments 😂

Passing out at the sight of blood or another strong psychological stimulus is known as vasovagal syncope and is actually common for a lot of medical and other health professional students.(Update: At the end of 1st year, I can confidently say that my tolerance to these things has greatly improved) What's weird is that watching surgery, performing cadaver dissection and even watching blood tests done on other people never bothered me - it was only a problem when it was done to me 😅 Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed the story and thought the tips were helpful. #MedicalSchool #MyMostEmbarrassingStory
