8 Days at War with Die Hard Group: Artillery Hit Near Our Car, Cameraman Was Wounded, Russians Died

What was meant to be a short trip turned out to be eight full days on position. The war, especially with drones, has become so intense that it’s often safer for soldiers to stay holed up rather than rotate out. For our protagonists “Illich” and “Jerry”, this war has already taken up most of their adult lives. Support, understanding, shared values, and the motivation to continue, these are all things they receive from their own, self-made communities, like “DIE HARD”, a militant straight edge group, whose members reject all types of narcotics. In this report, you will experience what it is like to be at war in Ukraine for eight straight days. You will also get an intimate look into the thoughts of young men, who, despite all the horrors and suffering around them, have decided to tackle each day like it’s their first, and last.
