IDEs:
I use IntelliJ IDEA, it is the best Java IDE in my opinion and has the most features, though it isn't free, it costs $15/month or $150/year, students do get it for free and recent graduates get 40% off, I highly recommend it: https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/
Eclipse is a simpler and free Java IDE, if you can't afford IntelliJ IDEA then I recommend Eclipse: https://eclipseide.org/
