Recording as the New Mayfair Orchestra with vocalist Webster Booth, Noble gives us a two-sided 12-incher containing seven tunes from the successful Jerome Kern-Otto Harbach stage musical “The Cat And The Fiddle,” which opened on Broadway in 1931, in London 1932, and in 1934 made it to the big screen as a pleasant Jeanette MacDonald-Ramon Navarro vehicle for MGM.
