Providing collaborative learning experiences for public and private prekindergarten educators expands their knowledge of evidence-based, emergent literacy key ideas and strategies. In turn, early childhood educators provide 3–5-year-old children with evidence-based literacy instruction, ensuring they are prepared for kindergarten. This audio file consists of a question-and-answer format featuring Dr. Marcia Kosanovich and Dr. Beth Phillips, principal investigators of the REL Southeast School Readiness Partnership. Drs. Kosanovich and Phillips answer questions about the process for developing and conducting early literacy Professional Learning communities, moderated by Ms. Julie Christman, Research Associate, RMC Research, and REL Southeast School Readiness Partnership Manager.
